Winter Olympics Most Gold Medals by Event

This medal tally includes all the men & women who have won at least 3 gold medals IN THE SAME EVENT in the Winter Olympics in any sport or event from Chamonix 1924 to Torino 2006 (both included). This kind of classification is a better reflection of the dominance of an athlete over the years and gives the same opportunities to all the athletes, as only one medal can be achieved every four years. This is more reliable in order to compare a team sport player, who can only achieve a medal per edition, with a cross country skier or a speed skater, who can achieve four or more medals in only one edition (for ex. Bjørn Dæhlie or Clas Thunberg). Those in bold type refer to individual events.

Este medallero incluye todos los deportistas que han ganado al menos 3 medallas de oro EN LA MISMA PRUEBA en los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno en cualquier deporte y prueba desde Chamonix 1924 hasta Torino 2006 (ambos inclusive). Este tipo de clasificación refleja mejor el dominio de un atleta durante un período largo de tiempo. Además, da las mismas oportunidades a todos los atletas ya que sólo se puede conseguir una medalla por edición, mientras que en el medallero total los deportistas de equipo tienen una gran desventaja frente a los esquiadores o patinadores, que en una sola edición pueden llegar a conseguir cuatro o más medallas (como por ej. Bjørn Dæhlie o Clas Thunberg). Los atletas que están en negrita lo han conseguido en pruebas individuales.
