Back to index / Volver al sumarioThe Men´s Olympic Program has remained unchanging since 1936. Between 1896 and 1932, some "weird" events like rope climbing or club swinging were also held. The discontinued events make a total of 16 (not included in the table below); of which USA won 6 gold medals; GER 2; SWE 2; and SUI, TCH, FRA, GRE, DEN & NOR 1 each. The first edition of the Team Competition (1904) is neither included, as only American teams were allowed to enter.
El programa olímpico masculino ha permanecido inalterable desde 1936. Entre 1896 y 1932 se disputaron algunas pruebas "raras" como la escalada de cuerda o el salto a la comba. Las pruebas que no se continúan celebrando no figuran en la tabla de abajo y en total han sido 16, de las cuales USA ganó 6 oros; GER 2; SWE 2; y SUI, TCH, FRA, GRE, DEN y NOR 1 cada uno. Tampoco se incluye la primera edición de la competición por equipos, puesto que sólo se les permitió participar a equipos estadounidenses.
